Trainees in the health sciences can enhance their academic and professional success by participating in a one-day workshop to develop critical communication skills and earn a digital badge.

Essential Professional Skills Series
Audience: Postdocs, Grad & Med Students

The OACD provides an annual series of professional development workshops for doctoral students and postdoctoral trainees. This series focuses upon a range of career development topics critical to your professional success and this foundational content applies across all disciplines.

Faculty Leadership Academy
Audience: Faculty

A year-long professional development program for faculty members that is designed to cultivate a generation of transformative academic leaders through shared leadership training.

Health Professions Education Seminar Series
Audience: Faculty

An annual seminar series comprised of a Medical Education Journal Club on the first Friday of every month, a Medical Education Research Methods and Innovative Design (MERMAID) series on the second Friday of every month, a Medical Education Research Conference (MERC) on the third Friday of every month, and the Academy of Distinguished Medical Educators (ADME) seminar series on the fourth Friday of every month.

Health Sciences Career Symposium
Audience: Postdocs, Grad & Med Students

This annual symposium is designed to enhance the professional development of postdoctoral fellows and graduate students by providing you with direct access to PhD professionals who have successfully made the transition to exciting careers covering a range of employment settings and job sectors.

PACT Speaker Series

The Career Conversations series allows trainees to observe a Pitt postdoc interviewing a Pitt PhD alumnus in real time to hear about their career trajectory and then to ask your own questions. Previously known as the Postdoctoral Data & Dine Symposium, this annual research symposium is a scientific poster session for University of Pittsburgh postdoctoral associates and scholars to present their research to colleagues, faculty, and administrators, while also networking with attendees.
